Spinnability Of Low Carbon Steel Plates

Deep drawing and spinning tests were conducted on various low carbon steel plates with different metallographic properties and mechanical properties, from which the following points directly related to spinnability were obtained.

The maximum extension strain of aluminum-killed steel plates of general purity during deep drawing and spinning exceeded 250%.
The ultimate elongation of boiling steel plates with slightly lower purity decreases with the increase of oxygen content in the steel plates.
The forming limit of the steel plate decreases as the grains of the steel plate coarsen.
The total elongation, n value and r value in the mechanical properties of the steel plate have no direct effect on the forming limit of spinning.
The steel plates used in the test were very thin (about 0.5mm), and the commonly used thickness of steel plates (0.8-1.6mm) will definitely be much higher than the above extreme limits.
