Description

GCr15 Carbon Steel Plate is a high-carbon chromium bearing steel designed for the manufacture of high-precision, high-load bearings and related parts. It is mainly composed of carbon, chromium, silicon, manganese, and other elements, and is widely used in many fields such as machinery manufacturing, automobiles, aerospace, precision instruments, etc.

Feature

High hardness
GCr15 Carbon Steel Plate has a high carbon content, which allows a large number of high-hardness carbides to form in the steel. After quenching and tempering, its hardness can reach 61-65 HRC.

Excellent fatigue performance
GCr15 Carbon Steel Plate has a uniform microstructure and an appropriate amount of chromium, which reduces stress concentration points and enhances the fatigue resistance of steel. Its fatigue life is 50% higher than that of conventional steel, and it can withstand frequent alternating loads such as automobile engine crankshaft bearings to ensure stable operation.

Good dimensional stability
GCr15 Carbon Steel Plate forms a stable organizational structure and has low residual stress after heat treatment. Its phase change and organizational transformation are relatively uniform. After tempering, it can effectively eliminate the residual stress generated during quenching. This allows the GCr15 Carbon Steel Plate to maintain its shape and size under different temperature and load conditions.

FAQ

Q: What is the hardness of GCr15 steel plate?

A: Annealed state: ≤179 HB (soft, easy to machine)

Quenched & tempered: 61-65 HRC (high hardness for wear resistance)

Q: What is GCr15 steel?

A: GCr15 is a high-carbon chromium bearing steel (Chinese standard GB/T 18254), equivalent to AISI 52100 (USA), DIN 100Cr6 (Germany), and JIS SUJ2 (Japan). It is widely used for high-precision bearings, cutting tools, and wear-resistant parts due to its high hardness (61-65 HRC after heat treatment) and excellent fatigue resistance.

Q: What is your minimum order quantity?

A: Usually 10 tons, special circumstances can be negotiated.

Q: What payment methods do you usually support?

A: Usually 30% TT deposit, 70% balance, negotiable in special circumstances.

Q: What are the standard sizes for GCr15 steel plates?

A: Common dimensions:

Thickness: 1mm–100mm

Width: 1000mm–2000mm
